how do u use texture maker?
Read the manual and practice.

how do u make matrices?
Look at programs like Matedit or the new one mentioned in TGC's newsletter.

how do you make hame caracters and guns?
Get a modeller like Milkshape and practice with that.

how do u make limbs?
Get a modeller like Milkshape and practice with that.

how do u texture a limb?
Texturing is best done in something like Lithunwrap, you need to set the UV coordinates, basically ever vertice in a mesh has a 2D texture location too, so a poly with 3 vertices would cut a little triangle out of the texture. Lithunwrap is a popular choice, although a lot of 3D modellers have built in texturing.
If you want to texture a limb inside DB though, use TEXTURE LIMB Obj,Limb,Image.

I think you need to cool your jets and learn one thing first, like modelling. I suggest getting the demo of milkshape playing with that for a while, then go onto loading the models into DB and texturing, just get more advanced until you can make, animate, and texture a model and load it into DB. After that you have the fun part - adding them to your DB project. Matrices and meshes are fairly similar, matrices are in fact a limited mesh.

700 page books arent always the answer. You cant just have a book tell you what to do. The Dark Basic manual TELLS you all the commands, but that doesnt mean that you know how to use them.

Van is right - cool ye yets olde friende! Your goin WAY to fast, this is just going to make everything seem impossibly hard to do.

Take your time, follow the tutorials that come with DB.

For TTM, read the tutorials.
Mat Edit - check out www.matedit.com
Milkshape - look on Google for tutorials.
Limbs - Milkshape
Texturing - What Van said (I would end up saying the same thing, just re - worded )

Good luck

wow what a load of questions, makegame command anyone?

To make matrice in DBC(dunno bout DBP),I personally use an editor,I have Magic World(simply the best),MatEdit(another good one) and a few others as well like good'ol Two-Man's software(old DB'er will remember).

A good way to learn matrices is to make a matrix editor, You need to know so much about how they work that just using someones handling code won't teach you. It's always best to learn the hard way.

Yes I agree, when I started making my own editor I didn't only understand matrice bettter afterwards but also the whole file system, menus and overall coding workflow,it's the best learning I've had so far eventhough I only went unto the point of loading, saving scenes with objects in them.(yeah I know it's easy)
