Name: Battlegrounds
Developer: Zealot Studios
Description:Battlegrounds is a free, multiplayer arena game that lets you and up to 6 other players from around the world battle it out for victory. It includes a variety of character classes, weapons and currently only supports one map, but I will be releasing a regular stream of new content, from new players to completely new game modes. When you re-spawn, you will be able to visit the Store before you proceed into the arena, where you can purchase weapons and ammo using health. Screens coming soon.

I wanted to post a rant yesterday in this thread,but I didn't because a mod warned me.So...yeah.
To Zealot Studios and all other new users, you have to post a screenshot of your work and read the wip requirements page.
We should really make a new rule about this kind of stuff, just saying.

New info, guys:

1. Classes- There are six classes in total, each with their own individual traits:

The Survivor carries no weapons but has a load of default health- 550.
The Greenhorn starts with a pistol and 100 health.
The Trooper has a machine gun and 150 default health.
The Assassin begins with a rifle and 175 health.
The Warrior carries a close-range shotgun, and begins with 200 health.
And finally...
The Specialist begins the match with a tommygun and 250 health.

Any comments are appreciated.

Still, your first post isn't in a form it should be. You can... no... you have to read the stickies on top of every board. If you didn't already read them, they should appear green. Take a look at them, put your first post in a right format and then you are ready t go. The screenshot looks bland without lighting and it seems like a stock prefab(or how did you spell them). So I suggest making your areas more interesting, by adding lighting and your own level design style.

I'm not too sure if all of this is well balanced. The Greenhorn seems way underpowered due to low health and an underpowered weapon (small magazine capacity and range). That is, unless you somehow want to ignore realism and make the pistol super powerful.

As far as I know, you cannot modify health in multiplayer. So, in case I'm right, that's it for the classes

@ Deltayo- I see what you mean. I am trying to make the classes as balanced as possible, so thanks for your comment and I'll take it into account.

@ DOMINIK- Yes, you can modify the health in multiplayer. At least with the version I have.

Ofcourse you can edit health! what you can't edit, is speed... wich would be really helpful. But sure, health editing, is possible.

But I don't see why someone would want to be Greenholm... And is survivor has no weapons, then what is the objective in this game? Killing as much as possible? Then isn't that impossible with survivor... or can you go and pick up weapons from other player's bodies or something...

Actually, there are also a couple of weapons scattered around the map.

Really?

I believe to know I've tried that once and it didn't work at all... but possibly I'm mistaking or just don't remember correctly - anyway, pardon then

This is what I think would balance it.

Survivor - Starts with no weapon and has 350 health.
Greenhorn - Starts with a pistol and 250 health
Assassin - Starts with a rifle (sniper?) and starts with 175 health
Trooper - Starts with a machine gun and 150 health
Warrior - Starts with a close range shot gun and 200 health
Specialist - Starts with a tommy gun and 150 health.

Thanks for your input, TheCoolGuy. I think I will go with these traits. And yes, the rifle is a sniper.
