Two questions, very related.

How do I fade text in and out? So that one piece of text is fading out while another is fading in over it?

How do I fade images (bmp/jpgs) in and out the same way?

Just downloaded the trial version, thinking of getting the full.

1. You will have to make your text into an image first.
2. Create Sprites from your images and SET SPRITE ALPHA. Do it in a loop and you can fade them in and out. At the simplest level:
