Another noob question from me. I got the FPSC Segment Kit (for making custom Segments) and I got a JPEG I took of metal for a metal texture for a floor segment I turned it into a TGA file with DDS Converter 2 and when I tried to use it as a texture it didnt have it in the selection screen then when i dug deep in the files with the two textures it came with. they had 3 files. Example: F_A_01_d.tga,
F_A_01_d2.tga, and F_A_01_N.tga and mine was only Metalfloortexture 1.tga. Can someone help I need it And sorry for all the noob questions

Sure PW It doesnt have my custom texture in the list of textures and then when I check the files in the designers folder the two textues that show up have 3 files. the one I added only has 1 file. How do I get it to have 3 files for my 1 texture

Ah, I see. I'm not sure how the texturing works in the Seg Editor, I only used it for meshes. Sorry, however, I'm sure someone else with more knowledge would be glad to help you!

Try pressing F1 to select meshes and textures when using segment creator browser this opens the true path files, its got a lot of bugs.
THe extra two fles you have are if you want to use shaders on your segment _D and _N which are diffuse and normal maps. The _D2 file is selected when not using shaders.

Jeddy2, the download of the kit should have video(s) in tutorial to
explain how to use it.

1) to move a wall (or floor) you click and hold mouse button while
dragging it to where you want it to be.

Use ctrl-c (copy) ctrl-v (paste) then use either , or . to move wall(s)
around to finish a room.

Did you use the "Calculate Visibility" button in the
segment creator?

BTW: Try to find "Firma" created by Darkfoil

It is free, and quite easy to use.

I didn't use calculate visibility so would that make it usable in fpsc? (and I'm sorry for that being a stupid question I'm only a kid trying to get a headstart on designing.)
