Well, here's my next model pack. I guess it's quite a dissappointment compared to my previous releases, but I figured I'd give it away anyways. The theme is what I call 'Scifi Slums'. It's... the slums of scifi I originally made these for a UDK project, but wanted to see how these turned out, and well, here they are!

The pack is quite small, and I can't release two or three entities because their textures contain parts of other textures. One of them contains Kravenwolf's free rusty playground pipe (TGC Store) texture, and one has a stock scifi door (even though it's edited). Although the textures are edited, I still have to get permission to release them. Considering that I don't know who to contact for the scifi door, I'll probably retexture that. Getting to Kravenwolf shouldn't be as hard though.

So anyways, I said it was a dissappointment because it only has 7 entities. Only a few of which I can release. But just if you guys want them:

The pack was designed so you can do a 'mix n' match' sorta thing. It's fun to get a little creative...

Here's a balcony entity, although it uses part of Kraven's texture (not released for now).

A typical small apartment (releasable).

A small house. This is the one that uses the scifi door, if you look to the right (not released for now).

Another small house, meant to be on rooftops. This uses a part of Kravenwolf's texture as well (not released for now).

Some handrails. They're pretty screwed up, they're for one, huge, and for two, have messed up collision issues. Sorry, couldn't fix either right now (releasable).

And finally, a small city.

So here's the download! >><< (click that icon, and scroll down the page till you see Scif Slums Pack (release 1))

EDIT: Download updated! Thanks Kravenwolf!

Cheers,

-PwP-

You have mine. The pack looks great, btw. The last screenshot reminds me of the amusement park in Silent Hill 3. Nice work

looks great nice job!

Just been chatting to my neighbours teenage daughter and it turns out she's big into UFOs and aliens.

Which is cool because tomorrow she's getting abducted.

The style resembles the 'Ember' movie's look. Good stuff.

Life is not fair, so deal with it.

What is...?

If it's bumping your own thread you mean, then I guess the only advice I could give would be...stop doing it.
Just because people don't post their gratitude, doesn't mean the effort and free release hasn't gone unappreciated. Those who have downloaded it, myself included, I'm sure were very happy to, and appreciate the generous freebie of such high quality.

Yes it's no imposition to take 10 seconds and post a thank you, but at the rate that any of these models will get used anyways (since very very few games are ever actually made), I wouldn't say it's always completely necessary. Courteous yes, but not likely to happen that much, therefore praise shouldn't always be expected, which sadly seems like what a lot of users around the forum want lately.

Again however, these models are indeed awesome, and the free download is appreciated.

Cheers.

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.
