I am very new to all this and was wondering if it is possible to use my own models, like castles and houses and such?
I did a search but did not find anything that really answered my question.
I am a little confused on the whole prefab thing.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Download the MakeEntitiesFromXFiles here:
http://files2.thegamecreators.com/fpscreator/fpsc_entity_maker.zip
Then convert your models to .x and run it through the entity maker and 'Presto' you have custom media... oh and forgot about the little nuisance of having to create textures lol...

Cheers,
Anayar

I downloaded that and watched the videos and I have one question.
What if my model has multiple texture files?
In the video it only shows one texture per model.
Sorry to be a nuisance.
Thanks

They can only have multiple textures if they are dynamic I think. FPSC is still catching up to the mid 2000's on this kind of stuff but with the new 1.17 I think will take the next step towards tons of fun. You can make your entities with any modeling program and export them as .x files then copy a fpe and change the stuff inside to fit your model. Try and look up sketchup to fpsc, it deals with multiple textures.

I would also recommend Entity Workshop. Its a bit easier for the new person.

I always thought it was the limitations of the .x format more than FPSC catching up to the mid 2000's in regards to the use of multiple textures.

If we could apply the same multimesh approach that segments can use to entities we could solve this problem easy and use static entities with multiple textures, as making them dynamic ones are not always viable.

Thank you for all the feedback. I think I am getting the hang of things.
