I am interested in purchasing some FPSC model packs for use in non-fps creator games as placeholder models until we have finished our own models. In particular, I have questions regarding compatibility with 3d modeling programs.

I intend to buy a character pack so that I can use the characters as placeholders until we finish animating our own characters. The modeling software we are using is Blender 2.49a (this is a linux only devolopment environment.)

A few questions about the models. What file extension do they use? Does anyone have an import script for Blender? are animations retained when importing to Blender? has anyone reported any significant problems with importing these?

Thanks for any and all help.

FPSC uses a format of .X

Blender can import .X files inherently. No script or plugin is required. Ive never tried to import anims. into Blender, so try it and let me know what happens. I have personally never had problems importing .X files into blender.

Hope this helps.
