Is there a way that I can get the image number for a texture that is applied to an object?

Well, you could keep track of image numbers somehow or you could use dbLimbTexture() on limb 0 (returns image number). I haven't tested it recently but I think it works.

Now the plot thickens, the fps decreases, and the awesomeness goes through the roof.

Thanks, I actually built it into a class I use to track all objects, I tried using that and unless the texture is placed on the limd specifically it did not seem to work... although I may have been doing something stupid....
