What even is this? I spent 24 hours working on a 1 level game
that built several times but always never fails to throw this up.
This NEVER happened in 1.16 and below to my knowledge.

I installed 1.16 in hope to rebuild it in that and then just
release without the bloom. FPSC wont even load the .fpm in that
version.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Maybe some quick help? I was going to release this game today.

EDIT: BTW, I built in 1.18 and 1.17. Same both times, AND
I didn't over-go my memory limit either.

Thanks

AH! I know that error. Yes, what you need to do is run the game in compatibility mode and as administrator.

Interestingly enough, that worked.

Its odd because I never would have thought that.
The .exe launched but threw up the error while loading.

Yea, it has to do with the windows 7 permission systems. I do a lot of error debugging (because I have no life lmao)

That should help you. That specific error relates to having to
run it as admin and in compatibility mode if you are using Windows 7
or Windows Vista.

I don't run in compatibility mode on windows 7 and I can run fine. Do you have UAC turned off? Having it on makes life unbearable.

Everything will work perfectly if you set up the account you use to play/ make the game an admin

Cheers,

it is great that there is protection for windows, but its just getting to be over kill. That is why i will stick to xp, and unix for now. uac is great and all but it should be setup as user defined

You stick to XP because of one feature that can be disabled? Even my mum has moved on from XP. If a 40-odd year old can handle it, I'm sure you'll manage fine.

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.
