So I got this texture from CGTEXTURES, And for some reason when I took the texture and lowerd the brightness of it, it seems that some alpha channel (I think thats transparenty?) with the color black makes my model seeable throgh? Does anyone know how i can disable it so the whole texture is on the model with out being see able through?

Thanks to who-ever replies!

[EDIT] I added a JPG so you can view it for yourself.

What format did you save the texture in?? If it's jpeg you shouldn't have this problem

Cheers,
Anayar

black is considered transparency in fps creator i think. If you darkened it too much,it will become transparent.

i think pure black was transparant, its better to save it as a .tga or .dds with dxt1 no alpha

Thanks guys, changed the texture to .dds works like a charm!
Mods can lock this if needed now.

I often prefer .dds for textures, .png for overlays
