Hello, i am currently looking for a detailed modeller and animator that i can either purchase for cheap or download somewhere on the net, also once i have an animator, is there anything that can help show me how to convert files to darkbasics .x and then utilise the animations in darkbasic. Thankyou very much for your time.

Well, I use Wings3D (http://www.winds3d.com). It models, but cant animate, or texture, but you cant complain cause its free. The most popular would be milkshape, but it costs money. Search for it. Another is 3D Canvas. They sell it on this website. Never tried it though http://3dcanvas.thegamecreators.com/. You could also try anim8tor. Lithunwrap or ultimate unwrap, ones free, ones not, are for textures (search for them).

You can try searching for a program called Character FX by insane software for doing skeletal animation.

I highly recomend Truespace, theres many versions all excelent.
Version 3 is free, Version 4 was stupidly cheap last time i checked (£20), and from then on its like £90, £200 or something.

It supports many formats (including X), and is really easy to learn.

Keep an eye on magazine coverdisks for it

Best off with TS3.2, and if you like that, then buy TS5.2. Has .X export and all.(probebly about $199 though)

Personally, milkshape is also a good buy.($20)
It animates, and models fairly easy to learn also.
