Well, actually, the trains aren't moving... the floor is.

But, There's my problem, I need to make it FEEL like the train is moving even though it isn't... So I'm wondering if there is a kind of 'push' script that pushes whatever enters it, be it player or entry, in a selected direction?

What I'm aiming to do is this; if the player falls off the edge of one of the trains, they are killed and get thrown back, away from the trains, making it look like they are being left behind.

Any bight idea's on how or if this is possible?

Also, on a non-script related note, is it possible to have moving textures to go along with the push-hurt-zone? I'm thinking something could be done with lots of really big decals and a bit of elbow grease, but I'm not sure if FPSC decals can support animated textures. its just to add that little bit more realism.

Cheers In Advance.

Well you could use an edited mover10.fpi (below) to push the player. By using a fast (speed set really high) AI etc with a transparent texture set to spawn if the player enters a trigger zone, it then rushing towards the player pushing them into a hurt zone etc. The one below then destroys the AI once the player hits another trigger zone, so you can then get a ready to spawn at the 1st trigger zone, for player respawn on death etc.

thanks nbt! I'll test that out now. :3

EDIT: okay! that works, but still doesn't feel real.

Is there any other way to do this?

Ok, here you go. I couldn't get the fly back action like you aske for, but I did get some nice effects. These require V117 to operate correctly, unless your using airmod

Anyway:
1) Place a trigger zone at player start with the script 'Onboard Train (Zone).fpi'.
2) Where the player falls out the train, add the script 'Fall Out Train (Zone).fpi' to a trigger zone in that area.

Also, tell me once you have downloaded.

downloaded, gonna test it now. thank you JRH.

for the record, I always keep up-to-date on FPSC, so yes, I'm useing 1.17.

EDIT: okay, its a little buggy (the player keeps getting hurt even after re-spawn) but, other than that, you've basically given me what I needed.

I'm thinking of combining it with that pusher and adding in a quick fade to black, for realism. :3 thanks.

Yeah, that'd be good. I could't get the player to be blown back via script, and I'm sure I managed to get rid of the 'hurt after death' bug.

Use a hud image that builds up from 0 alpha (invisible) to 100 (opaque) I guess
