I mean really, flame Americans much?
Here is your bridge and your club, sir. You are now an official troll.
Seriously, that is so stereotypical. Yes, a lot of Americans can be stubborn and stupid and rude and offensive,
but so can anyone else from any other country. Unless I'm mistaken, there are rude, stubborn, offensive people in other countries, too.
My understanding is that other countries perceive us as pig-headed, stubborn, and never admitting we're wrong because of our foreign policy and the fact that we're at war in Iraq.
This is our government, not our entire population. I, personally, disagree with most of what President Bush has done. (I will NOT start bashing bush or anything, though. That's against the AUP.)
I could easily say that you're just some French guy who, as with most Frenchmen, hates America, eats baguettes with cheese and snails, drinks wine, has a curly mustache, wears a beret, and has a really thick accent.
Is that likely to be true? No, but that would not make it any less stereotypical or offensive. I know that most French people aren't really like that, so I would never really say such a thing.
My point is, that saying "you're just some American, who blah blah blah" or "you're just some German guy, and you blah blah blah" or "You're just some dude from England, therefore you do blah blah blah" only shows your own ignorance and a total lack of understanding. Buying into stereotypes only makes YOU look bad.
For the record, I AM American, and I DO admit when I am wrong.
If the good lord had intended us to go outside or have a social life, he wouldn't have invented the internet.
