Just to let you guys know before you buy it, model pack 44, I can not for the life of me get any of them to talk. I did set them up exactly like the other talking characters. I even cleaned out my bin and dbos, I copied the scripts exactly as the other that do work. I applied the greet player script. So if you are wanting to buy this pack just for dark voices dont, Its not a good idea.unless there is something I do not know here, and if there is please forgive this post and thread.

Instead of whining, why did you not post a thread up asking for help? The pack obviously must work otherwise they would not post it for sale. It has to have been put through its paces by more than one person. Your just doing it wrong or have the worng configuration.

i got it to work, here is the problem, the converter does not convert the sound files at all, so when i added the sound it had no .lipsync file, so i had to open dark voices just to record a sound so it would convert the file. so, to clairify, the models do talk, but the dark voices sound converter that comes with the new update is not working.

Do you have to have dark voices to make the characters talk?

No you don't. See the newest newsletter. It gives a tutorial on how to convert sounds for the talking characters.

P.S.

Conjured Entertainment has given a short tutorial in a couple of threads as well.

Here's a link to one of those:

His last post to that thread I believe.

The butler is part of the history pack as well. However, if you downloaded v117 and installed it you also got a couple of free stock talking characters. One is the thug, another Aiko and there is also another WW2 character I believe. These were given so people could play around with the DV available in FPSC. It's pretty cool. CE has an example video in his post. So, go take a look if you haven't yet.

Actually to be clear ALL the human characters are lip sync compatible. You get EIGHT lipsync compatible characters for free in 1.17!

-Colonol X
-Aiko
-Officer
-SS Officer
-Thug
-Tommy
-US Marin
-Wermacht

Thank you Daniel wright 2311 for making me ask questions.

Thank you flatlander and bond1 for clearing this up. I'm no longer cofused.

I guess I need to go to 1.17 Does everyone know that you get free talking characters with V1.17. There should be a sticky thread saying this.

P.S. Sorry for my ignorance, still sorta noob to the actual workings of FPSC.
