I've had milk shape 3d for over a year now but due to work and family life I could never find the time to site down and play with the program, That was until 3 weeks ago when I got some time off work and found my self bored with nothing to do

These aren't that grate but we all need to start some were and i'm sure some will find a use for them.

Thanks teamhalo.
Some textures are better then others and some could do with tweaking a bit, i was more interested in getting them done and into FPSC then worrying to much about the textures being perfect.

The next pack I do will hopefully be 10 times better.

Wow, great work on the interfaces, the table looks pretty awesome for a futuristic war room type gig...

On second look at this, it makes me very intrigued. I can model sci-fi stuff really well, just my textures never come out good enough. So I just don't model sci-fi much.
If you've got some free time, that'd be cool if we could collaborate on some free models together sometime, maybe I throw together some models and you make them look pretty?
Drop me an email if this sounds interesting.

Tony

As always an awesome anticipated pack from HoriZon, your textures are always High quality, you should consider making a large sci-fi model pack.

Thanks Soviet , I'm really enjoying using milkshape now and I've got loads of ideas for sci-fi stuff.

I'm considering doing a large pack but not until I'm better at modelling.

I spent the weekend trying my hand at some Aliens inspired segment's

@Horizon - You have great potential , so instead of the regular "Good job",I'm going to give you a few pointers if I may.

1.Seems to me you used a masking cloud filter on one of the model's texture.Might want to reconsider and use some metal-ish pattern instead.
2.Your texture ideas are good indeed, however on some models they look a bit cartoon-ish.Don't use outline filters (if you did, can't be completely sure)
3.Add more depth to the colors.Scratch some of the textures for detail or something. You decide

I like your eye for detail and small things that make the environment more pleasant.Especially that green screen. If you use Bond1's animated shader on that screen it would make it 3x better

Overall I like what you have made and I hope to see more from you in the future

Thanks Gencheff, I'm always grateful for any help and advice others have, The only way to improve is with other input.

I don,t always use outline filters (you guest right). I was going for a grunge look but your totally right some do look cartoon like.

some other textures I've done

I was under the impression that Bond1's shader wouldn't work with X10? ,If it work's that's grate I will look into using it

I honestly have no idea about the animated shader under x10.I know the segment and static entity normal mappings don't work though.

Those textures look very nice.Perfect for sci-fi.

Not sure what actions mystic mod has,but with a little scripting you can achieve a small 3-4 frame animation without the shader.

Good Luck
