What it's about
I have teamed up with one of my closest modeling friends, Poloflece, and to my knowlege I donk think there has ever bean a team model pack, i'm probably wrong but there you go. Anyway, we are creating a horror model pack because we have realised the lack of them, I know kravenwolf made some pretty awesome models for horror, but as yet I havent been able to find one that is upto his standard. Myself and poloflece are trying to make the model pack. We HAVE started it, I have got a list of what we have completed, and I have lost the TO-DO list :S So here's the list of items that we have made.

The List
BlackBoard
Building
Segment 1
Segment 2

The Jobs
ME -
- 30 Entities
- 10 Segments
- 10 Overlays
- 3 Weapons ( And ARM, a baseball bat with a nail and a spike)
- 3 Characters

POLOFLECE -
- Unsure, but they will be about the same

Prices
100% FREE, a bargain!

Screens
Some Chairs :L - a useful entity?

THANKS!

Wheatley you have about 10 packs on the go !!!!! why not just work on one of them till its finished before you start spamming the forum with more unfinished model pack ideas.

you will get a lot more respect around here if you take your time on each model & produce somthing thats of a high level of quality rather than churning out low quality models every 5 minutes.

crits of your first segment/ its not seamless & its very blurred.take your time, get it looking good before you post a screenie.

cheers henry

Like henry said, the segment is not seamless, and very blurry.
If you use GIMP for texturing, click Filters>Map>Make seamless, and then there will be no more seams.

Erm.... segments are a little uninspiring and blurry floor. The chairs would snap if anyone ever sat on them (try to model as if the object was a real life item)
This may be fine for a 1st attempt at modelling, but as it is not your 1st attempt maybe put a little work into it, rather than slapping 2 boxes and 4 cylinders together and calling it a chair?

Can't really say anything so far makes me think horror?

You would do better tweaking those chairs they look obviously like two boxes, one rotated and sat on top as the back rest. You would be better making the chair base and extruding the back up from that. It would then look like one piece and a lot better, also try adding a couple more polys and adding a little shape into it rather than leaving it so boxy. You could even extrude up seperate polys for your back rest and have a proper old fashioned chair effect. Anyway keep it up, 3d modeling is a lot harder work than people suggest. I'm reasonable at modeling, it's the UVW mapping that drives me crazy.

Also its a good idea to take inspiration from real life - not simply what you know and can see in your head...

The chair for example... we all know what a chair looks like without looking at one, but what's in your head and what goes on your screen can loose alot of detail on the way.

Referencing pictures and images of what you want to create, getting several angles will also help(or even better having the item to hand) - see how everything is held together and why things are placed where they are... a chair for example often has a moulded seat to conform to the rump of the sitter, the back of the chair would never be 90 degree vertical from the seat - that would be massively uncomfortable... it would be slightly angled... the fancier chairs go further with a contour to accommodate the curvature of the back.

All of a sudden a simple chair is not so simple any more... but the end result can be so much more.

New PC Specifications : Intel Core i3 2.93Ghz. Windows Vista Ultimate. 4GB DDR3 RAM. ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT.

TGC Store Tag : Kasseyus (need to make a graphical sig one day)

@Mgarand
It isn't what you call ripping, because the textures are royalty free to use for commercial and non commerial projects

from cg textures licence
Quote: "No payment or royalties are required to use these Textures"

I'll include them in the credits anyway (was going to)
I thought they'd be put to good use as overlays in fpsc.
and MP24's model textures are nearly all from cgtex.
@Wheatley
Was this your to-do list and are we including these models
Old Bed
4 Variations of watchtowers
Ladders
Mossy Walls
Mossy Columns
Card Boxes
Shelves
Old Swings
Static TV
TV Showing Nuke Sign
TV Off
School Chairs Assortment
School Desks Assort
Blackboard
Variations Of lockers and wardrobes
Broken Bed
Drawers (open and closed)
Desks
Books
A Hotel Clothes Rack (Normal And Broken)
A Red Carpet Overlay
Couch Variations
Ripped Couch (Sofa)

Quote: "1. How Do you suggest I add definition to the matress?"

If you can in milkshape divide the mattress part (divide the polygons) then lift up the vertices a little, also smooth the shape.

I like what you guys have come up with so far! Maybe not perfect, but hey - it takes a long time to get even close to perfect. I've been composing music for about a year. I'm definately not a professional, but i can tell i'm getting a little more experienced with each track. You guys do make a good team, and i like seeing what you put together.

Thank you for your kindness about accepting me.

Here are some models without render.

Again I have a problem with the textures I mean I set all of them but when I save them they comes without any textures

Here is my idea:
I make models and send them to someone in 3DS format and he\she makes the textures and in the credits we put two names for my models.

http://up.iranblog.com/Files73/937276ad563a4360bb21.JPG

Again I didn't render them and the original quality is much better.

Just someone who wants to texture should give me his\her E-Mail.

They're very nice models, I don't think UV mapping them should be too difficult and texturing shouldn't be a problem for me. But if Zwarte is interested I'm happy for him to do it. and 3ds format's fine by me.

Will finish another building soon.

@Zwarte Piet, First I am PaYaM and Have our guns was my friend's mistake when I was using his net to make my account(It has a long story)

You said "only if they are your models" you mean I'm robbing someone's models,so if you don't trust me then I wont do my models and I will make whatever this pack need to be better.Just tell me what I have to make then I will do.
And I make all of these with 'MED Model editor' Commercial edition.

@Poloflece,Thank you for your opinion about my models.
I hope your new building is very well as always.

I think if "King Of Khoas" can make new sound this pack will be better.

And I can make some extra media like huds and new fonts!

Fonts can be used by people who download this pack to make their titles
And I will make an instruction for using the new fonts.

Edit:Here is a part of new font I can continue to Z:

After all I apologies if my English includes some mistakes.

This sounds great. When released we could call it The "Horror Media Pack" or something like that.

@ PaYaM. Huds and font's would be awesome. If you can make them kind of like the "chiller" font in Microsoft office and anything that suits the horror theme. Huds would be even better, and lots of people need more huds for their game genre so they would be very useful.

@King of Khoas. It would be great to have you in the team, your music is really good and nearly (very very close to) profesional.
Not to be fussy but when you make it try to make it suspenseful and suiting the horror theme (preferably not retro horror).

So the team now is (hopefully

@ Poloflece Games - Thanks for the compliment! That means a lot.

What type of horror music would you prefer? Intense/Battle music? Slow/eerie music? Both? I understand that you want suspenseful, but i'm just wondering what kind of suspense.

I think you should go with the slow/eerie music. If your working on a piece and it isn't turning out like that, it doesn't nescesarily matter.

I think the pack could be called the WKPP horror pack
(Wheatley, King of Khoas , PaYaM, Poloflece)
or if Zwarte's in the ZWKPP.

Just verify if your all going to be part of the pack

Here's a picture of the buildings and the new barricade

Very nice man.

But I think we have find a better name for this pack.

Anyway here is a horror title I made:
Here is the low quality:

And this one is the high quality.

After extracting it will be 1.8 MB.

And I sent some models to you Poloflece.

There are some very, very noticable problems with the textures... You can see 1/4 of the window in the first building, and i dont particularly like the testures on the buildings right now. Either your taking a very low-res. screenshot, or your textures need a little work. Also try making a building that isnt just a box with a texture, it will help your uv mapping skills, and make the buildings more realistic.

Cheers,
Anayar

P.S: None of the above ^^ comments were meant to put you down. I just would like to see you improve a little

@ Have our guns - That looks cool! but theres just 1 thing i think you should change. The hat thing seems a bit low. I think you should raise it just a little. But overall, it's really good!

@ Poloflece - Okay, i'm in. I'll make a couple tracks for the pack. If you want, i can e-mail them to you, and we can discuss them and you can suggest changes if necessary.
