a few questions

1)I was wondering if there is a way of using a command similar to get ground height (as used for a matrix) on a .X object, in DBPro? This way i can avoid using collision for the landscape parts of my world, and save on valuable processing time.

2)Also, does anyone know of a lightmapping engine which can import/export .X file formats. I can do it in Maya or Max but it is a pain as it has to be done on a per object basis. Also, when is the vertex lighting intended to be fully implemented in DBPro?

3)Can anyone point me towards a series of tutorials on how to create and implement vertex and pixel shaders in DBPro.

Thank's in advance!

You may want to have a look at Kensupen's snippet in the Code Snippets forum.. It enables sliding collision on a .x object.
Also in the cartography Shop Forum there is talk of light maps for .x maps.
