Hello everyone, I have been looking at ragdoll, and i notice that it isnt 'perfect' as one would expect. The thing i want to know about it this - i notice that when a player goes into ragdoll, their arms fly out and their back stiffens. Is there any way to losen the spine and make the arms fly out at random, instead of at the precise angle they fly out at?

Thanks.

Actually, if you look at this video:

I have perfect ragdoll w/ fade. I have the script on this board if you want it. If you want to, you can modify the characters weight to make it a faster ragdoll.

Why does life suck the life out of you?

@ secretiveOps (what a name!)
Yes, that ragdoll is quite good. I will take a look at it. Thanks.

This is abit tricky, I noticed it is actually like the Call of Duty style ragdoll. The character plays a pre-determined animation then goes into ragdoll. Shoot the character in the right spot and you'll get and 'perfect' ragdoll.

Somewhere like in the head or the foot, but it has to be at the right angle (like the top of the head or between the front and side of the foot).

OK, nice.
However, I have recently been thinking about doing something better than ragdoll - it requires 5 times the number of animations, and a script 5 times as large...
Pretty much, if you shoot the guy in the leg, he responds to being shot in that leg. if he is shot in the other leg, he responds to being shot in that leg. If he is shot in the torso, he responds to being shot in the torso. If he is shot in the arm, he responds to being shot in that arm.
Although, I think I am too ammature a scripter / animator to be able to pull this off, but hopefully we may see this happening soon.
