i started with 3DS format but it seems dbpro dont like it so much...

but there where some advantages with 3DS like: if i made something like 20x20 meters in sketchup thats was precise 20x20 dbpro size.

disadvantage is it seems slow and textures dont export good with it.

now i use X format, textures export fine, only the size is very different. its maybe 100x its orgiginal size. and if i do "scale object objr,2,2,2" then its still not very the same size...

so my question is: can i somewhere see or set the X size export?
i really want to that X would have the same sizes as 3DS export. ( if possible )

Personally i try to use the .DBO format, just export your models as .3DS and then make a 3ds2dbo converter with dark basic.

ok i will try.

but is .dbo better then .x? i now use .x and 20 meters in sketchup is 787 dbpro size... theres just no logic in there.

That's odd. When I export a 10 meter cube from Sketchup as a .x format model, it loads into DBPro as a 10 unit cube. Maybe you need a better exporter? I'm using Sketchup 7.1 and the 3D Rad exporter plugin. Link

yes Rich, thats a much better plugin. i did a small test and 20m in sketchup is 19 units in dbpro. but thats fine, i take it how it is

You may find that the difference in 20 vs 19 is a matter of int vs float, and how many decimal places you choose to display.
