Why the hell is it so hard to find?

There was a thread with a link to the file but nope it's deleted now as if "they" don't want me to get the proper patch

Dude i've got it! not really.. nothing 3d is displaying

I went to the link you posted and it works just fine, 2nd post down by Bran Flakes has a link to the download. There is also a sticky at the top of the GDK Fourm for the patch, just make sure you have the correct one otherwise 3D does not work (as you have seen).

Ya it being pretty messed up. like i'll install gdk then 7.4a update then this patch we've mentioned & it still fails to diplay anything 3d or load 3ds files

I wonder if the same problem can be caused by some error with the sdk. like my download was broken or something. Im going to uninstall and re-download everything. and if that doesn't work im going to masturbate with my tears as lubericant.

[edit] yep im crying right now and letting my tears drip down to my happy place.

randomly after includeing gdk2.h 3d starting working, even when i switched back to gdk.h ??? weird but it still gives me this error when loading 3d models like 3ds files

I know my code is sound, I wiped my computer so I needed to re-install everything involving gdk. My problem has to do with either the version and patches of gdk im running or something with directX sdk.

It seems to be loading .x files fine im not sure about the others i just know that it is having problems with .3ds

If you can't get 7.4 to work then use the 7.3 version which seems to be more stable:

Anyway 7.5 is promised to come soon.

There was a bug report that 7.4 cannot load 3ds files:

Does it have to do with something with pro mode?\
Iv gotten it to work with 7.4 before, I just can't remember what why or how?
lol o'well I will try 7.3. so this can just be over.
I am going to install DBPro first and try that.

[edit] neither of those salution's worked. I still get the same error.
