Hello

Can any one tell me how to move a sprite graphic .bmp file using the keys or joystick as i have manage to move the letter a around the screen and all i am trying to do is move this ie space invader gun as i am planing to write a spacing vader game as my frist dark basic game as this is what i recomended
hope you can help as i am learning

Very simple example.

+ Code Snippet

create bitmap 1,50,50
box 0,0,50,50
get image 1,0,0,50,50,1
delete bitmap 1
`above code just makes an image of a white box. delete it if you have an image to load.

`load image "filename.bmp",1
`uncomment the above line and change the filename to yours.
sync rate 50

sprite 1,320,420,1
do
if leftkey()=1 then sprite 1,(sprite x(1)-5),sprite y(1),1
if rightkey()=1 then sprite 1,(sprite x(1)+5),sprite y(1),1
loop
