That's 51 downloads of the full free version of "The Last Stand" so far. I'll be closing the link down at the end of next month (April 30th) so if you still haven't downloaded it then your time is nearly up!

Thanks Ermes!

It's up to 1122 downloads of the free version now

Maybe I should try converting ESF for AppUp? See how she runs on my netbook? If it works I'd be happy to publish it for free (as a free game of course).

Min res for netbooks is 1024x600...

I compile all my games at 800x600 maximum before setting the display mode. See next month's newsletter for a bit more detail on making games for AppUp in DBP!

I'll be removing the free download at the end of the month so anyone who still wants the full version for free should take it soon.

I'm now working on the sequel which will be a much larger scale game. See the thread here:

I think if you press H you can get in game help but:

Return=shoot
Left/Right=turn
Space=re-load

Free version of the full game will be deleted tonight / tomorrow morning so get it while it's hot (92 of you already have)!

That's just a dozen less than have downloaded the full version on AppUp.

EDIT: Free version offline...

If only I'd seen this earlier....I didn't take much notice, mostly because my space invaders 3d didn't even get 3rd or anything in the AppUp comp that was on a while ago. I mean, I was not expecting to win with it, but I was annoyed anyway and didn't really care about anyone else's games.

Oh, if only I'd taken notice, I could have gotten a free full version of it....

Oh well. The Last Chance is looking good, though, and I will be DEFINITELY keeping an eye on that one!

Good work

Wish I could take credit for the blood but that's Bond1's work!

I know, it's an FPSC model. So are you using Advanced Animations?

I used Enhanced Animation on the DBP version but I'm building sprites for the AppGameKit version.

Sorry, I hadn't noticed you said it was an AppGameKit version. How many frames per walking animation are there? And will they move in 8 directions or just 4?

There are currently around 250 animated frames for each zombie but that's unoptimised. I'll probably halve that. It's all FPS for AppGameKit so only one direction

I haven't forgotten that email, just ill and very busy...

I'm certainly not in any hurry, so whenever you get round to it

EDIT: Sorry that you're still sick. It's not much fun when all you want to do is work on games
