Hi

Not sure if anyone can help here. I have a couple of models that I'm using bump effects on, but they shine black and not the light. I think it is something to do with my _N files, but I'm not sure how best to fix it.

My models are using _d, _N and _i files which I used Shadermap pro to create. The file format that I'm using is PNG, which works well with all my other models. I have used it on models which I've created and they have worked well, but this pack from here http://www.dexsoft-games.com/models/scifi_buildings.html

Screenshot.

Many Thanks

DC

Bootlicker, could you possibly make us a tutorial on how to get segments and entities working with bond1 shaders? I know you have to make these textures but how? and what program do we use? thank you!

Great stuff that worked. Didn't realise that would have effected how they look, now I do.

Thanks

The texture_D and the texture_D2 are the same image. For the texture_N and the texture_I, I use a plugin straight from NVidia's website that takes your image and converts it to the RGB Normal and Specular alpha channels available here:

http://developer.nvidia.com/object/photoshop_dds_plugins.html

I am sure there are plugins for gimp, paint.net, etc out there too.

There is also a great tutorial for using the plugin here:
