Sorry if someone else has asked this already I searched to the best of my ability. But I was wondering. What kind of program would you use to create and animate weapons for fpsc? And how would you put them in a game? Is there a tutorial I could use? Thanks

I would say use Milkshape 3d, 3d Studio Max, or blender for modeling and animating, depending on your budget. As for getting them into FPSC, the trial of fragmotion is usually sufficient, but I recommend Weapon Creator.

crazy that an editor pointed at the usage of custom content takes so much work and money(for products not even owned by TGC! what are THEY using?) just to make something worthwhile. i mean come on!

Well, when you're making VERY good models, do you think that a free program will yield great results or the $100+ programs?

I'll answer that for you, the costly programs will. Why do you think IW, Treyarch, Activision, etc. always use these AutoCAD programs that cost $3000+?

Why does life suck the life out of you?

SecretiveOps its not the software that makes great models its the artist that does.

i use 3ds max but there are a huge number of artists using blender (a free program )that produce work far better than anything that i could hope to make.

cheers henry

it would be cool to see a program with pre-made parts to build custom guns with sounds, muzzleflashes, attatchments, and other settings in a visual editor like that new 3D Character Builder being made. now THAT looks cool!
