Can someone please explain to me why when I use text in my 2D side-scroller shooter game thats bigger than font 48,the whole program slows down?How can I fix this?Please Help!!!

pre render the letters and or numbers to graphics and use them as sprites or 3d plains on the screen when required.

I tried making the words in paint and importing it as a sprite but I cant get it to work.Is there any other way?(changing the sync rate or something else I'm missing)?

Dont know if this will help but you dont need to prepare texts in paint program. you may print your text on screen or second bitmap and then grab te letters or whole words into images using


but I dont know why you say that sprites or images doesnt work for you.
