I'm thinking of doin a simple Isometric platform game in the style of the spectrum classic 'KnightLore' or 'Head over Heels' but I want to use 3D objects and characters.
Texturing, positioning and moving a 3D cube has got to be easier than drawing and position hand drawn isometric tiles as well as collision detection.
Can anybody tell me how to set up the camera fov so that objects look isometric?
Im using DarkBasic (not Pro)

I'm not sure that DBC has an FOV command but an alternative method would be to scale all of your objects very big and move your camera a very long way from the playing area, this will produce the illusion of a non-perspective view. If there is an FOV function, you will need to set it to a very small angle and move the camera far away again to achieive the same result.

Not a brilliant answer but I hope it helps.

apexnow - I'll give that a go. It might just work

David89 - Thanks for the tip but the code in that thread only applies to DBP

sorry David i misread your code!!
I thought 'set camera fov iso' was a command in DBP, but I realised that it isnt.
I'll give that a go.
Thanks a lot.
