I've tried to use Blender, and I assume I will end up there again, but for now I need some help finding a free program that will let me easily create and animate weapons.

The easiest program is the one you find most fluent to work with. No matter which program you choose, it's practice that makes the master.

You can animate in Anim8tor but you can't import the animations into FPSC, I think. It seems Blender is the only free software out there which is fairly easy to use and can make animations for FPSC.

Well if you want to get it able to work in FPSC there are any of about 800 free conversion softwares available to change the format. So that is not an issue. It is all up to the developer to learn to use the modelling software and to choose one he/she is comfortable with.

Thank you both Nigezu and Design Runner, I shall try Anim8or first, see if I like it, and use Blender as my fallback.

Use Wings 3d to model and Fragmotion to animate.
Click on my profile and find the WW2 weapons thread.
All the guns there were made in Wings and Animated in Fragmotion.

Thank you General Jackson. I will try both programs, as Anim8or won't work on my computer (running 64Bit Windows 7).

It's true Anim8or doesn't work too well on Vista or Windows 7. 32 or 64 bit no matter.
