Newcomers DBPro Corner / Boolean is not compatable with DBC what can i use instead ?

Hello

I have just relize that boolean is not compatable with DBC is this right as i have post a question and been play with this code below
all I am trying to do is move a bitmap around the screen as I would like to have a ship instead of the letter "a" if some can point me in the right direction or change the code soI can see what it should look like and then i can have a play with it.

Also I have notice some other commands are not compatale as I am a newbie to programing did I make the correct choic in DBC or hould i cot DBP?

For anything that is not a float or a string you can just use an integer instead.

Yes you can use integer.
What your variable will represent will depend on the way you treat it.
for example booleans:


and you've got pretty nice boolean

hello
I have tried to run the code for testing my space ship and the bootlead command it came back with this error
stex error uknown command

all I am trying is to display the space ship instead of my letter "a" and move the ship left and right using the keys z left x right

any help

Not sure which code you mean. Show this code.

means that DB dont know the command STEX so maybe you've spelled something wrong

ShowGraphic As Boolean
this is the error i get syntex error unknown command

You get the error b/c ShowGraphic As Boolean isn't a command in DBC.

Ok now i get it. I'm not familiar with DB Classic but that was the point: if there isnt bolean type try this code
