it freezes after i input a(0,2) in your version ^ and after i input a(2,1) in the original poster's version.

I have exactly the same problem. I don't think it's actually hanging - it's waiting for input from you.

What seems to be happening is that the input prompt for the last few a(,) entries isn't showing on the screen for some reason. Not sure why. I would expect the text to scroll up the screen but it doesn't. You can still enter the numbers though.

I changed the code slightly and it works fine. Just add a CLS here:



The results are nice though.

I've encountered a few display oddities recently after upgrading my GFX card drivers and wonder if the two problems are connected.

here's a typical image using the following numbers:

iterations 8
a values 0 0 0 0 250 0 0 0 0



Edit Interesting. Just tested the original on my older XP laptop and it works fine. So it looks like another of those annoying system problems. The extra CLS was needed on my Vista desktop.
