No matter what code I use, I get the result on the upper left corner of the screen, superimposed on a static full screen image of the clouds.

I have noticed others in the forum with this same result, but could not find solution.

Any way to fix this?

I don't own DarkClouds, but what code are you using? Maybe there's a PASTE IMAGE or something of the sort in your loop somewhere that is causing the problem.

Here are two I found in the forum.

They are two different programs, yet they both produce their results on the top left corner of a static image of clouds.
This makes me think that, it's not the code.
It must be something else.

It even happens when I download the demo on the dc page:
(It's sample code is just above the download window).

The moving clouds are in a frame on the upper left side of the pelican.

@antigravity dream, that's very strange. Sorry if I already asked this but what is your system specifiction? I know that DC is quite reliant on a fairly decent graphics card...

That's a far better system than mine. I would contact post it as a bug here:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_read&i=15

Could be a Windows 7 compatibility bug?

been toying with dark clouds today for first time... only problem... i found... haha phew out of breath now lol... dc foremans flight sim demo... when I go above the clouds my clouds dissapear completely... however if i stay below them theyre fine...

anyway, as an informative... dont know if you have by now realised... that Corei3 graphics chip is on your CPU die, meaning its just as good as a netbook gpu... (not the ION ones) intel GMA gpu's are weak and so too are the i3 series gpu's theyre not full graphics chips in my opinion.... maybe if you got the i5 750 2.4ghz you might have a better chance... funny just as I was writing this... my friend who uses xp... has a similar gpu to me said it slowed his system down...(my app with DC)... yet again he then tells me he had WoW (f****** hate that c**p game)

anyway try getting a proper gpu like mine (gtx 260 core 216 extreme edition)
as I said earlier I only have the issue of my clouds dissapearing ... might want to mention here that just the clouds not that lovely horizon... that stays and I think the sun does too. any help on that issue would be appreciated...

quick specs of my system...
win7 ultimate x64
Q6600 2.4 (stock speeds)
6GB DDR2 @800mhz
GTX 260 core 216 extreme+

hope someone might be able to help me with something... I want to run a hosting service... I offer a web hosting space up to a few GB... yeah course you could use DropBox otherwise... but I offer web site hosting too with none of those strange hosting things people are using in the forums... is there a reason behind that? I dont mind hosting images etc... I dont know where to mention it ^^ oh also I am still very much new to the use of these forums... please dont hesitate to kick me if anything I do is a bit... iffy I dont mean to come across as rude, ever.

@MrValentine, sounds like you should start your own post as there are a few un-related questions there.

People don't like having their threads taken 'off-topic' too much.

Don't worry too much about offending anyone as we are used to a lot of new people here (and generally quite tolerant), just read the forum rules at the top of each forum area and be polite and grateful for anyone's help and you won't make anyone mad.

Welcome to the forums! I look forward to seeing your ideas take shape

All you have to do is choose a forum to place your question (from the drop down menu top right of each page), then scroll to the bottom of that forum and fill in the "Post Forum Message" box just like you do on someone elses post.

EDIT: and yes, it was useful information

update I found that dc set scattering was the issue for my clouds dissapearing,

also antigravity dream

as I figured your using probably a laptop, .... which did not take mention.... I now realise that your using a laptop, and also noticed you loaded kernel32... why?

but yes as before, that integrated Video Chip (I will not call it a GPU as they are far more powerful) it may not be powerful enough, I did not check but it might only be a shader model 2 maybe...

nevertheless try checking your biosd settings on boot and see if you can throw more memory at your video chip maybe that might help
also check if you have enabled that ... cant remember what its called exactly right now but I think its called video scoop or something disable anything of similar mention... and also check your video chip settings by right clicking desktop and selecting graphics card properties and also ensure you installed the directx that comes with DarkBasicProfessional,

A further step would be to ensure you have the correct settings for the folder and exe with both windows DEP and also disable UAC and add the working folders to your antivirus as ignored live scan folders, as this may not entirely be to blame on your gpu... hope this update helped (as I have had more experience with DC) and if you did post a bug report, please do let us know the feedback from it here, thanks

best regards

MrValentine
