Is there any other sites someone could post that have some basic info on DBPro?

I am still saving up for it and would like to familiarize myself while I wait.

(I idiodically downloaded the free trial version 2 years ago and left it. Now I can't use it but barely got a chance to learn...)

You can download the Alienware Trial version, that uses a unique trial key that will not check for previous trial installs.
