Good Evening everybody! Gorlock here with my first Pack for FPSC! I am very excited to release these but sadly I can't release them just yet! I just have a small preview for everybody and am working on some more models! In the pics that I will show ONLY the plants are going to be in the pack. My theme for the pack is Plants that go into an office area so if you have a suggestion for an office plant feel free to post a reference and I will get right on it. Lets take a look shall we??

C&C are welcome and constructive crits only please!

Thanks,
Gorlock S.

Very nice. My only crit: maybe make the small trees in the last pic a little less blocky. But great work.

I wanted to do that but I want them to be as low poly as possible and they are just scenery/decorations and not something that the player mainly focuses on like a gun of a character etc. But thanks for the comment!

I just figured it was trimmed that way.

Thanks for the pack but did I miss the download somewhere?

Look who's talking...Mr. Multipost himself.

@Gorlock Very nice , perhaps you should have smoothed the plants though.

Thank you all for the comments! I might smooth them but they are just scenery and these are low poly so if you have a lot it won't destroy your FPS but even if I was to smooth these I couldn't in theory because Blenders smoothing tool makes the model smaller plus it Caves the model in which I hate trying to fix them. But I am working on a fourth plant so see you all soon!

By smoothing , I don't mean subdivision.I mean smooth the current model not to look faceted.

I know what smoothing is Gencheff but as I said before it doesn't work very well in Blender.

Yes, this should make your models looks 10times better, no offense.
Smoothing shouldn't cost much more than if you hadn't. I don't know how blender's smooth modifiers work, but most progams don't actually add any more geometry at all. It's just a way your model is rendered.

I'm sure there's a way to fix this,I've seen wonderful renders in Blender.

But like I said, nice work on this.

Good luck with your future projects .

Thanks you Gencheff

This next plant is giving me some troubles because its normals are jacked and I can't fix it. I have tried flipping the normals then exporting but I get the same result. But I will not give up!

the normals on what,the leaves?

If so , detach the leave polygons as a clone.Flip the normals on the clone, move them by one pixel down (or up,whatever works) and then attach the flipped clone to the original model.

I could go into vertex welding, but that's a bit long to explain.

If it's possible though,I'm not familiar with Blender.

Ok after a long and frustrating fix my friend Crysis helped and he fixed it and made it FPSC ready so I thank him for his help but here is the model. It is a desk prop so enjoy. More to come!

its not easy to see any detail as your screenies are very dark ,maybe you should brighten them up a bit.

cheers henry
