I have finally solved the issue of your sounds being heard from accross the map by modifying the original repeatsound script. I got rid of setalphafade=100 and runfpidefault=1 and replaced it with soundscale=X sou you can adjust the sound's range
So now you can have your sounds fade away properly without being heard halfway accross the grid! I cant believe I didn't do this before!

enjoy!

I tried this out, but I got some weird results; 1st of all I got a 50% reduction in frame rate, 2nd my fire decal disappeared. When I put the stock repeatsound script back in, it all went back to normal :S

I think the reason why there is no flame is because I removed the runfpidefault=1 from the script, which make the flame appear. But I guess you could just add the script to a sound zone and let it do it's thing, and place it by the flame decal. But I don't know about the reduction in frame rate... thats weird, it didn't happen to me.

this is too odd dude !!

i think i know whats going on but, emm...

maybe it's an excessive script check and reading problem, i mean...

emmm... you gave 2 conditions in a way that the fps creator from his computer read and check it in a excessive speed and repetitions, using a odd amount of memory and using alot from the cpu, causing the lag, and comsequently hiding the fire decal, by the drop of framerate.

it happens alot with me, but, in bigger scripts ya know ?

it is a ridiculously crazy theory, but if the scrip was bigger it could have muth more sence

mods for creating a inteligent game,at least
