Funny, it looks quite like a max render. There's none of that bad shadowing that alot of Blender renders seem to get.

as of now, you can't post this here. it belongs in 3d chat because it's not an FPSC-ready model. when you've made it FPSC-ready, then you can release it here on the FPSC models section. nice work!

Would be awesome if you could intergrade that ACOG sight into iron sights, give it a very good feel.

Eh, kind of does now that you think about it. Should we stick him in the brig with the other Pirates?

Are you assuming just because someone has a copy of 3dsMax, that automatically makes them a 'pirate'

I think the real clincher is that the OP has yet to reply.

you sure that's not the same guy who posted's site? you can never know.

I am very skeptical now, however.

Well that can be true, but did you read above. He states he JUST finished it and that file on the link is posted july 1st.

If he was a new member I'd still give him the benefit of the doubt, but since he's not,I say it's not his creation.

The image he posted and the image on super3.org not only look identical, but are both exactly 108.35 KB (110,955 bytes) and 960px × 540px.

Whoa! How freaky coincidental is that?

... and the band played on.

...no such thing as coincidence, in my book.

No AUP infraction has occurred as of yet, but I'm reasonably certain that I've
glimpsed a Jolly Roger.

LOL... um... yeah.

Somehow I don't think someone who makes blender tutorials with over 2,800,000 views on youtube "watches loads of youtube videos to get to the point it is now lol havent used blender alot anfd rubish at remembering things".

Also the model is pretty messed up in the charging handle/receiver tube extension/castle nut area. Skilled modelers who circulate free models will often purposely hose details like these so they can easily identify their work if someone else claims it.

Sigh...

You know, the sad thing is, the only occasions where somebody on these forums posts a thread with actual quality work in it involves Turbosquid and piracy...
