hi,

is it possible to use a hud with different buttons(in circel shape)
such as objectives etc. as in crysis ? the objectives menu could be done by myself but I don't know if the menu hud is possible.

could anyone help me with that?

by the way it's for fps creator X10

regards,

Not sure about X10, but in X9 there was a problem with setting up button HUDs that weren't part of a core menu (title screen, save/load, pause menu, etc). I fixed this by modding the source, but I'm not sure if that bug still exists in X10.

If no one drops by with the answer, I don't see any harm in trying it out yourself.

The easiest way to "interact" with a hud is to incorporate letters or numbers into the hud which can be activated with the SCANCODEKEYPRESSED condition.

So if you have p.e. a teleporter with a script that shows a hud like:
Mars <Press M>
Venus <Press V>
Earth <Press E>

it needs to incorporate lines that move the player to different levels when the keys M, V or E are pressed.

It's not the same as moving the cursor over the buttons and actually "click" them but its quite reliable

You can't with Vanilla FPSC.

You will be able to pull off a very complicated workaround when the PICKOBJECT condition is part of the engine.

Maybe there's a mod that can do the job.

just wondering if this is what you want, i don't know if i could script it but.

A picture appears in the middle of the screen, showing the different things, possibly telling you the key to press.

When the certain key is pressed, another hud appears showing the one you picked, then it disappears and whatever happens happen?

ok thats possible really easy though, but fpsc thinks: when the hud isn't there it should be opened anyway when the user presses the key ...
