Hey guys!
A while back, I had a segment request thread. It went alright, but It got messy, and things went a little pear shaped.
I though I'd give it another run, and I'm back, with better tools, and more knowledge under my belt!
So, lets give it a whirl.

You can request any segment. I will make them, fully compatible with shaders. They will contain Normal, Specular, Diffuse, and Illumination maps. The size will be either 512x512, or 1024x1024. Please specify if you want another size for the texture, and I'll see what I can do about it.

So, How am I going to go about doing this?
I will personally email your requested segment to you, when it is finished (Thats right, these will be exclusive to you, just created by me)
Or, as an alternative, you can ask that it be supplied for everyone else here on the forum.
You will be free to use the segment in any way, commercial, or non commercial, but credit must be given to me in either case.

You can request any type of segment, be it grunge, sci-fi, or even plain old modern, and I will do my best to create the textures and compile it into a segment for you.
Sorry, I will not make/put them to any custom meshes.

Here, I'll just keep a list so you can keep track of what I am working on,
NOTE: If you see a , Click on it, and it will take you to a download link for that segment.
~~Currently Working on~~
-Cave-like (Requested By The Zoq2)>><<
~Sci-Fi 'Hallway' (Requested by EGG HEAD OF DOOM)
~Sewer (Requested by Toaasty Fresh)
~Tudor style walls (Requested by DarkVoices)>><<
~Nothing!

: Done || : Working On || : Not started || : Awaiting requesters feedback/approval || : Public Download Available

Below are a few examples of a pack I created late last year. I have since expanded my knowledge with different maps, and they should be coming out better. There is also a varying quality, as these are screens from over my course of developing.

So, Request away!
Please leave a very detailed description of what you would like your segment/s to look like.
It would also help if you included a reference picture, but it is not needed.

Im eager to do some texture-creating, so bring it on!

how about something like the attached image I have

you can make it more flat, if thats what you meant by only using pre-made meshes. I mostly want the color scheme

Alright guys, thanks for some requests.
I'll get working on those later on today.

Side note:
I've updated the OP, you can now request that your segment be either exclusive/emailed to you, or posted here for the community also.

Ok, Zoq, I had a crack at yours.
I placed it in a little level I rounded up in a couple of minutes.
In my oppinion, I think it looks pretty darn good. But thats tooting my own horn.
Let me know what you think, If you're happy with it, let me know whats next. (Emailed to you, or posted for the forum)
Here's a screen of it, in a way It can be used.

I have updated the first post with a couple more, and half the size screens.
Should be easier to look at everything without taking up your entire screen now.

No worries EggHead.
Im heading out now for an hour or so, But I can have it done pretty soon.
So basically, you are just after the color scheme of your reference picture?
But you still want it to look a little sci-fi?

Alright, here is the download!
These segments use Bond1's normal mapping segment shader.
Im not sure if it will work without that, but it looks best using that shader. The shader is also free! (not included with the pack)
Be sure to have a light in your level when this is on, or it will appear flat black.
Please give credit when you use this, I would appreciate it.

Click the star to download.

Enjoy!!

No problem Zoq, If you have any hassles, just send me an email.

Egg Head, I have done some work on your segment, its Ok, but IMHO, not the best I've done. SciFi is something a person should find easy, because there is unlimited room for creativity, but I have troubles with it.
I will have it to you some time tomorrow, as I am having a little bit of trouble getting the maps to work properly.
In the meantime, here is a very simple screenshot of it ingame.
It isnt done yet, by any means, but let me know on how you want me to develop it from here.

Could you possibly make like a Sci fi hanger segment, dark greyish colour.

i got a couple more ideas but i will let others ask away

Thanks, and your segments i have seen looks kickass!

edit: Sci fi Hanger Segment - Floor, dark greyish colour, seamless look so its like a single slab of metal was used. Walls, dark greyish colour, slight stainless steel look.

Well in that case, i guess i will post the segment ideas, even if most, if not all are sci fi releated cause of my game

Reactor room segment - rusted metalic walls, plated metal with rivit bolts and what not, floor/ceiling should have the same look.

Bridge room segment - Clean, stainless steelish look, light blue hue. Same for walls, not being too picky.

*Updating my first post in here with what it should look like almost, i realized i forgot to say what the walls should look like*

Alright, Ill add yours to the cue Toasty, any particular color or detail?

Defiler, I have been working on your requests a little.
So far, I have completed one.
The screen attached is intended to be the hangar, but after looking back on all your details, it almost seems more fitting as the toxic room.

I'm glad you like it
I'll have more done in the next few hours.
By the way, I can do a much better job for a radioactive looking segment, but If you want, I can modify this one to be that.

Do you want the one shown in the screenshot to be the hangar, or Radioactive room? Let me know on any adjustments to suit either one.

Add my msn address, it will be easier to negotiate these things, and I also have something else I would like to discuss with you.

Ok, Defiler and I have worked something out, and I will no longer be updating the first post with work related to that.
I am still willing to take requests for the next week or two, so If you want your own unique segment for free, or you just have an idea for a segment, let me know, and Ill get onto it ASAP.

Just another screen to show my capabilities. For clarification, this segment will not be released, as it is for private usage. Its an example of what I can do.

They are actually from TGC Store. they arent a part of the segment, just added to give it a little more perspective.
You can find them under Cyborg Art, for roughly between 300 and 500 points I believe.
It is a very handy pack to have, as it comes with different variations as well as all the different pieces, all in one download on the store.

One thing I have noticed and haven't seen is wall segments that are in the tudor style. if you don't know what that is don't worry I'm attaching an interior and exterior photo for you to see. I don't know if a wall segment with an exterior texture and a different interior texture needs a custom mesh or not, but it would be really cool to have the brick/stone exterior for the first floor of a building with the wood paneled interior and then the tudor styled exterior with a wallpaper on the interior.

if you could do these then please make it available to everyone because I'm sure there are other people that would love to use these.

And here is the Tudor style segment(s).
There is a Top, and a Bottom level.

DV, to get the affect you wanted, just paint the 'interior' as the top segment (the wood lined one, and use the FLOOR of the bottom segment over top of that, and go into wall placement mode by pressing M, and add the low segment to the outside.
This will allow you to have the brick(low) on the outside, with wood flooring(low), and the wooden lined(top) on the inside, without parts being overwritten.

Once again, they are created to be used with Bond1's normal mapping segment shader, so get a hold of that.

Not that the default floor for the upper segment is best used as a ceiling, not a floor

Here is an in-game screen. (None of the entities included, as they are all either stock, or free)

And here's the download. (Click the star)
