I see something wrong with this line.

I see something wrong here as well. It should be "plraddhealth=-10". You need to have that "=" in there.

Let us know how it goes after fixing those two things.

Which animation are you wanting your character to use? I thought animation 2 was the walking animation.

I'm having a similar issue. I got a character rigged, used the makeentitiesfromxfiles in the files folder. It works, follows way points, can be killed, holds weapons properly but will NOT shoot at me no matter what I do. Does anyone see a problem in here. I apologize this is my first actual character.

Have your character STOP walking the waypoints before attacking the player. if I recall, the characters don't do well when told to follow waypoints and shoot the player at the same time.

okay I found the main problem. Somehow the view cone was only set "0" instead of around "50". Now all that's left is to figure out why it has no muzzle flash and no blood decal when I shoot him. Any thoughts?

Edit, figured out the blood, but not the muzzle flash yet. In the fpi file the lines where blank. Still working on the muzzle flash.

Edit again. Ok problems solved, I was making changes to the fpi file after I tested it, but when I tested it, it was creating new dbo and bin files. Once I shutdown the software, deleted the bin and dbo files, the character works fine. Hope this might help someone else.

Muzzle flash, Smoke, and spent ammo work off of bones.

Firespot bone, for muzzle flash

Smoke bone, for smoke from weapon. Not really used in a character.
ther is one for the spent casing also called brass.

Anyway in your model add a small bone called firespot and smoke if you want. link the spot to the hand bone of the hand with the weapon.
Re export it and try again. If that dont work, check the gun spec of the weapon you are using and make sure that the muzzle flash stuff is assigned.

Hope this helps.
