I need a hand held lantern for my game that is in production, also is it possible to have enemies attack doors that get in the way because the game has alot of enemies that you need to run away from and it would be nice if they could still get you if you hide in a room

Amnesia is a great game because their engine was designed explicitly for that style of game. The physics engine in particular is FAR from what FPSC uses.

That aside, to answer your questions... don't know how to help with the lantern, because that doesn't seem to be a question.
You can have character entities "interact" with a door. It would be similar to how the AI currently opens nearby doors by activating them, except instead of directly opening them, you would want to have the AI target the door, rotate to it, play some bashing animations, etc, then have the door open.

hihi i have a particular interest in amnesia aswell if im honest and im in the middle of developing a script that opens doors in the style of amnesia/penumbra. sooo i guess what im saying is do you want me to make you any scripts for your game while im at it.

p.s. im not a brilliant scripter so im not promising anything

I'm making a game that has a few features Amnesia has too and I made this Light Spell:



It should be possible to port this concept on a lantern. Its very easy!

its a weapons that doesn't do damage. The Lightbeam is a muzzleflash image and the decal is a small blue dot. (makes it look more magical...should be replaced for the lantern).

Ok let me rephrase that, can anyone tell me how to make a lantern that you can turn on and off that the player can hold? I guess it could either be a hud or a weapon?

Well I havn't made a weapon for fpsc before can you help me out?

Oh yeah and sorry forgot to mention... I have a new question concerning AI, how do you make an enemy that is chasing you give up if it can't see you for a certain amount of time, and not always know where you are?
