Ok, so i am working on some weapons in wings3D, and i am using entity work shop to turn them in to .fpe files? to use them in my FPSC client, now the problem is im having is when i design a weapon and put it in to FPSC. I can pic it up by the character does not bring it in to view, like when i finish designing the weapon. I export it as a .X file, then i open it up in Entity work shop. It opens the .X file with no problem and i am able to add texturing to it, then i export it in to FPSC. Now, i can place the newly created weapon any ware on the map i designed, but the problem is. When i pick it up and attempt to use it (like when i cycle through weapons) the character does not bring it in to view. Now I'm confused as to why its doing this, is there something I'm not doing right? i take a script from one of the already existing weapons (i,g) the AK-47 and put it in the main area in the properties of my newly created weapon. But nothing happens, any ideas? or help?

You need to also put it in gamecore/guns

Your going about making guns wrong.

After the weapon is modelled, textured and animated, position it where the player will see it in your animation app, then export it as HUD.X, put the x file, texture(s), in gamecore>guns>user>XXXX, copy a gunspec.txt file from another gun, and change the animation keys to fit your gun.

You should also create a VWEAP.X for AI to use.

HUD weapons opperate from the gamecore>guns folder.

I think the problem is that your using entity workshop for this. Did you put the HUD.X, texture, and gunspec in the gamecore folder?

Download the FragMotion trial, and position it over another gun, then delete the old one, export as HUD.X.

Under file select merge.

It will take some time to get it looking right.

I'm a little confused on what your doing...

How about this, follow this tutorial, and use one of the stock guns, and yours, it will make things simpiler, sorry I seem to have confused you :S

Im having a problem similar. I've brought a model in before a long time ago but now I have a model, fully textured and animated. At first I had Skynet's Problem but I fixed it accordingly. Now I pick up the gun and it is fully textured and all but Its LARGE and Unrotated leading to an akward view of the weapon. No matter how much I rotate and scale in 3ds the weapon when in 1st Person view stays the same. I've tried editing .fpe information scale information to no avail. Can someone please help ? I have nothing left to think of.
