I brought this up in another thread, but I am wondering if anyone else noticed this and if there is a fix or I have to use external program.

When I resized a robot (using scale=) to 400% I can only shoot up to 100% of the height. Any shots above that doesn't hit the character. It would be real easy and nice if I could resize using the scale in the fpe and it work correctly when shooting. I also noticed a running in place problem, but am not sure if it has to do with this or the ground it was on.

Scale and the colission do that. It is best when scaleing up that far to rescale the model inside of the model program and re-export it. As for the running in place. Try to bump the model up a bit and try again. It appears that the footspot or base bone of the model is just under the floor level.
Hope this helps

Hmm, got it to work after scaling in fragmotion. Only now when it walks, there are two problems. 1. Its leg motion seems to go faster than the speed I set it at. 2. The legs have a longer stride (scaled 500%) but it moves like it has short legs, very slowly. I can watch the shadow and see it creeping along. Wondering if I missed something in fragmotion. I am not sure about the walking animation speed, do I have to change the animation somehow? I figured the speed, weight etc. settings should have made that right (oh, is the speed setting not only making it act slow, but making the walk speed slow. Guess I will go look at that.)

I do not have fragmotion, so I cannot determine if that is part of the problem. The speed change in the FPE file could effect the stride of the animation as the game is thinking 25 fps and you may be thinking 10fps. If a walk stride at 100 scale and 100 speed is 3 feet. and you slow the speed down and keep the scale it will appear as the character moon walking.

When scaleing in your model program on a skinned boned mesh, you should only have to scale the meshes base bone to get the rest of it to scale. This is usually something you will want to make sure is done before animation along with any welding of verticies and UV mapping.

The best stride animation are between 25 frames and 30 frames and small adjustments in scale and speed dont effect them as much.

If you want to zip or rar the model and the _d2 texture Xfile and FPE file. I can look at it and see whats going on. You could export the model out as a milkshape file .MS3D I believe and send me that file. I will open it in max and take a look. then run it through a test in the engine.

Make the email subject say FPSC or something so my email does not throw it in junk mail.

Hope this helps

Thanks Pirate Myke, I have actually figured out that when I changed the speed to slower, it made it move slow, but the leg animation speed was the same. (at least that what it appears) I really appreciate the offer though! I will let you know if I still have a problem.

Well I got it to work beautifully with fragmotion. Here is the screenshot (with shield effects) from the gallery. Just a start.
