Hy guys,

i have been inspired to make some custom models. I have had a little experience using, 3d's max, but i was wondering what program should i use to make and animate a gun model? As well if i make my own hands (which i will have to) could i get someone (like errant ai) to use his animations on them?

Thanks

first of all, there are so many threads about this.
well if you can afford 3ds max, there are loads of tutorials available for rigging and animating. And if you got 3ds max im sure you know that you can use it to animate models

cheers

I recommend milkshape 3D (google it.)

That is what I use, I have been using it for about a week and use it to make segments and entities, and I'm attempting weapons.

- Another thing, if you've just started modeling, I don't recommend jumping straight into weapons, try some static entities first, like a table or something

- Check out what Ive done here:http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=180724&b=24 (ive also done a bit more too but thats not in the screenie.)
