Here is a goody for you all in the horror game field.

I edited the v1.16 script Candlelight.fpi to be a bit more violent in the flickering..

Great for Fluorescent lights!

I have a video on youtube displaying the effect it gives.

I myself am using this script for my own project.

Hells Gate.

Enjoy!

Thanks for that!

Btw, there is something I tried several times but the result never convinced me. Maybe you can script it:

If you switch on the light, it flickers for several seconds before it goes completely on.

I've seen this a 100 times on TV when some long-closed labs or factory halls are opened up again and it never failed to create an atmosphere - it would sure look cool in a game too.

Not sure if it'll work, but you get the idea.

You can easily add in an activated=x condition to make it suit your needs.

@storyteller: I think in the FPSC guide what you asked for has actually been made into a tutorial, by Plystire.

Edit: changed name for who created the tutorial.

Just a little quick tip for a flickering candle; use two dynamic lights, one set a low, dark yellow and one for the actual flickering. That way it doesn't look like a standard light flicking on and off as if the light was completely off for a candle, that candle would be out.

you dont exactly need a script for the color of the lighting
as you attach the .fpi to the light itself in fpsc editor make sure the light is dynamic

then you change the color of the light to whatever you would prefer.

as for the script
i would have to make one for you, its easier done than said.

sorry for replying so late...
