Hello, I'm new to the forums and just recently got FPS Creator x9. I know this is the x10 forums but i was wondering if there is anyway that I can build a level and export it as a .dmg file so mac users can play it?

Anyone?

I'm not sure what a .dmg file is, but FPSC/X10 both rely on a lot of Windows libraries, including DirectX which isn't available on any other platform.

You might want to check out Unity. They have a free version you can play around in. However, I believe you would need to buy the pro version to have OS builds, and that is gonna cost around $1.5K. You can also develop for mobile devices like iPad and iphone etc.

It has a higher learning curve than FPSC but it's not bad. Maybe check out some videos online to see if it is interesting to you.

I dunno if GameSalad is still around but that is another option for "no programming" game creation for Macs.

Give it another couple years and there will probably be a lot more options out there. FPSC, Unity, Unreal (UDK), 3D Rad, etc. have definitely inspired a new paradigm for game creation. EA has embraced Unity for many of their projects.

The next step is in-browser 3D gaming. Unity is leading pushing this effort pretty hard right now and Google has partnered with them (not quite sure what the exact relationship is). There will be a time in the not too distant future where most gaming will be done in a web browser.

I know this is more than you asked for but perhaps it will compensate for the lack of response.
