what i want to do is put the player in a house, but when he looks out the window the streets are dark, ive tried it in many different ways but it doesnt seem to be working, please help im not tht good at lighting

go to the game build preferences. Under the level setting. Press the global script edit button on the left of the window.
When that screen comes up then set the ambience setting to level 8
Amb red to 10, amb green to 10, amb blue to 10.

Save the changes and exit the utility and save your level.

If you are useing bloom then you will need to bring the value of the color down in your lights to 50%. If not, try a test build at this setting. Dont be alarmed if things are to dark, as you only want light where you place a light anyway.

Adjust the ranges in your lights to give more or less as you need.
This should give you a nice dark outside. and light up where you need.
