I dont know if a should or shouldn't use it.
so here is a severel questions:
1. Do you use it?
2. What is your opinion on it?
3. Do you have any other map editor that you are using?
4. If you used the program before and stoped then why?

matedit is cool but spend the time to look at the instructions.

many people dont read them and maps require you to have a base knowledge about how DB works in regards to include files and arrays.
If you havent explored these or sort of know how they work then your going to find it a bit awkward to use them.

Its an amazing package when it comes to manipulating a matrix, so if u required a matrix for your game or program then it would be more beneficial to you than someone who needed say 2d sprites.

TDK man spends hours perfecting it for free without anything in return. Im amazed its not shareware at this point in time for the features it has.

I look up to TDK man for his prowess with that product and I consider him a peer and a friend having spoken to him at length inside and outside of coding circles

Its a good program to explore.
