Good day,

so today I was editing my poor M4 CQBR and when I got to my reddot I had to encounter this (view picture in attachment) and I made this example in order to show whats going on.
So the perfectly transparent part of the scope works as intended, you are able to see the ironsight.
HOWEVER, when I add a bit of color to the scope, like in this example 10% blue you still see through it, but the ironsight disappears.

Now where did I miss something?
Please tell me how I can add color to my scope without getting this.

cheers
Netsky

Make sure that the file format you are saving your scope file supports transparency and that the colour you are using is partially opaque, as to not override the ironsights of the gun.

Good luck

hey thanks for your response, however I'm afraid that wasn't my problem. I am using dds and png, and the whole middle of the scope is transparent. then I simply took my brush set opacity to 5 or 10% an drew those 2 lines.

As you can see the scope in itself is transparent, however I can't see my model through the blue lines, where as you can see the difference between floor and sky.

Might be FPSC's alpha sorting, it's quite bad tbh.

yep is a common error using transparent textures. is not your error.
this happen in dbpro to, some recommendations:
- get last driver for you Vcard. (not works for me)
- get last DX files (not work for me)
- actualize your fpsc engine (this works)
- change to cube fps engine or freebasic + Ninfa3D (you can export to windows, linux and mac)
* dbpro and fpsc have many (many -infinite- inexplicable bugs) so have patience. or chage to more stable engine like Unity or Cube (cube is goooood)

Try setting the transparency in the gunspec to 2 (or 1).
This may help.
