What is HUDTEXT= ? Where did that command come from? If you want to use HUDs, you have to make a HUD image. If you want to use text, you need to use the FPGCRAWTEXT commands. You have chocolate in your peanut butter.

You may want to check the following resources.

1. TextEase
2. Official Guide Part 2

Surprisingly enough it is in the google code section. at the top you can search for a command and it comes up.
Also Hudfont= has been in FPIedit pad since 117.
I have not try either of them yet.

I can't find it in the guide anywhere. Is it for the health and lives HUD?

I found it in the old guide....

HUDTEXT=X
sets the text that will be used in place of no image of the HUD item

I'm not sure what it means.

I sometimes prefer using hudtext over fpgcrawtext because fpgcrawtext can only display one text line at a time, whereas you can use a number of hudtext lines.

Hudtext works like you say, as long as no hudimage was defined the hudtext will be used. I don't think hudtext can display variables, but we have huduservar for that.

I think the problem may be with hudfadeout, I'm not so sure it works with hudtext. I only use hudshow and hudunshow when using hudtext.
