...just set that particular guard as an objective, through its properties.

You can easily find the answers to your other questions, by doing some
searching and investigation on your own via the Thread Subject Search below.

Funny, I did a search using "investigation script" and found...

You will find that you will only get help here when you show some sort of effort. Most of us script-gurus will not post a script just because you want it. Try first, then we can help you.

ADDED: As a friendly suggestion, read the manual and the official Community guide. There is plenty in there to help you out or get you thinking in the right direction.

Oh I got what you are after. There are quite a few scripts for what you are after. I just want to see you make an attempt first. Obviously it was not clear (the sticky note in the Scripts section) that this is not a request board. In case you missed it:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=126004&b=23

You might find this line taken from the above link explains it all:

"This board is for talking about coding scripts. If you don't want to learn how to script or don't have time or whatever reason, then don't post here asking people to do a script for you."

In other words, most of us that know the scripting inside-out will not just give you the script. We are willing to help you if you make an attempt. I'm not trying to be rude, but if others can follow the general etiquette here, then so can you.

Some of us will write scripts for you for cash (joke)

I just want to echo BlackFox's post that you won't find many people running to write scripts for you, the majority of us have better things to do with our lives than fulfil the scripting dreams of other forum members. So most of us will just ignore threads saying things like "I want a script to make an enemy dance..." etc.

You will find other forum members are much more forthcoming if you at least attempt to create the scripts you mention.

What the folks above me say is true.

I myself very rarely just hand over scripts to people who request them, mainly because they request tasks that require a lot of time and effort and want it done by the second.

Ched80 is right as well that most people have other things to worry about, than giving someone (you in this case) what they want.

You know, jobs, family, life outside of the forums ... things that are actually important.

Why is it that I don't ask questions and request others to do the scripting for me, as well as A LOT of others here?
Simple : We put our own effort and time into this and eventually learn how to do it on our own.

/end of rant/

...easy peasy:

1. Place the guard into the level.

2. Right-Click on the guard to open Properties.

3. Set IsObjective = 1
