I am building a nice little horror level where I am using the Hook Horror model from MP23.

It has a bugged death animation where it freezes up while falling.

See attached image. What cannot be seen is that the model stutters somewhat between animation frames.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

All the other models from the pack work fine by the way.

Did you try and add ragdoll to the death script? I have had this happen with some of the model pack 4 characters when trying to add ragdoll.

I just loaded up the hook horror and tested it out and it worked fine for me.

I just tested the HH too with default settings and running 1.18 beta 7. Everything fine in test game but freezing death animation in the built game

When that happens I found that, if you change the death animations it usually stops that problem. So if the animation look like this in the fpe: anim1=0,19 Change it to say anim1=0,18 and this should work. If it doesn't work, try importing the model into fragmotion and view the dbo file. If the dbo file looks distorted then it could be that it was exported wrong. If the x file is distorted then you will need to have the author fix that model as a bone might have been accidently move that is causing the distort.

Hope this helps.

Try to use the stock "leavecorpse.fpi" instead of the original "cartoondie.fpi" destroy script.

For me that did the trick.

EDIT: Now its getting weird....it worked only while I had the HH set to immobile (so I could kill a row with different settings easily) but not when I did let it run around

Works fine for me in test and build game using the default script. Perhaps a clean install of FPSC is in order.

I am using V118 beta 8 and the latest download version of the model pack. I will try the things mentioned here but I will avoid a clean install since I have the bug on two machines and the bug seems to be confirmed by other users.

Hope some of this will work.

I had that bug too. Just thought it as engine bug.

Best texture of the Month.
