I have a few questions regarding waypoints and scripting. I don't want any scripts, but some sources I could look into for more information.
1. Is it possible to destroy a waypoint with a script, and to spawn another?
2. Is it possible to have an entity do something like this: Go to the third point on the waypoint, wait, then continue. At the last waypoint, do not turn back.?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks-Design_Runner

1) Waypoints cannot be altered in any way once the game is running. You can only change them in the editor. However, there are some "pseudo waypoints" that you can use. Character entities are capable of "dropping markers" that they can retrace later.

2) Using a variable you can count the number of waypoints that the entity has reached. Once the variable reaches 3, you can give them alternate code to follow for once the waypoint is reached. For example, have a timer start, wait a few seconds, then continue. Not turning back at the last waypoint is easy enough as you just delete the line of script that tells them to do that.

Hope that helps you out!

Thanks a lot Ply! I'm going to have a go at creating a script(s) to have a character head to one area, and after a trigger zone is activated have it go to another. My idea is a kind of to have a spawning area for about 20 enemies, all of them set with infinite spawns. Then as the character progresses have them go to the combat area in front of the player.
